Good morning all. I had the good fortune of finding my dream camper on CL last week and so I no longer need this shell that was on the truck when I bought it.
It is an ATC brand fiberglass shell with locking tailgate window and sliding windows w/screens on both sides. it also has a sliding front window to allow access from the cab into the camper. This is the cab-high model meaning it is flush with the top of the cab rather than sticking up higher. My truck is a 2005 Access cab with the "long" 6ft bed. This shell will fit single cab, access cab and double cab LONG bed tacomas.
The price:
$350 or best offer or trade for ?? If you have something to trade, its always worth a shot to ask. Worst thing I can say is no.
The good:
-painted to match Tacoma's silver streak mica color
-carpeted on the inside
-has brackets for yakima cross bars (I may be talked in to selling these with the shell)
-locks and keeps your stuff dry. I have at least one key ( I am looking for my other spare key still)
The bad: ( why I am selling it for a good price and not the "like new" price)
-one of the screens on the side window could use some love
-long story short there are two bolt holes on the top rear of the camper that have been filled with epoxy. (they are solid and do not leak, but if you sand on your bumper and look at them... they are not pretty (just epoxy color and not repainted)
I am located it Flagstaff, AZ and I make an occasional trip to Prescott and Phoenix, and for the right deal I could possibly meet you.
My new shell is a ARE DCU commercial shell and I can't wait work on it make it the perfect camping and hunting truck cap. I might just have to try my hand at my first build thread.
