2nd Mitsubishi, first major problem

After farting around on RockAutuo and getting everything in the basket, I couldn't do better than $200 +/-. Ima bite the bullet and just let Mitsu do their thing, I know it's a big chunk, but they've treated me right and I want to maintain a good relationship with them.

It'll be worth it. Parts will be Denso or NGK which are OEM suppliers.

I keep forgetting to update with prices and numbers.

Next issue popped up at our 75k service - Bad rear driver's side hub. Audible as a squeak when braking, and as a clunk when shaking the wheel by hand.

$650, under warranty. RockAuto lists the part for $125.

Another three months, another oil change.

Six hours before my appointment the transfer case threw up again, code 33. Dealer identified the switches again, 3 days out of Mitsu warranty and by miles as well, not sure how many. So that expensive T-case remedy failed again. That, and the continuing squeak from the rear driveline means another root-cause experiment for the guys to figure out. Hopefully the fix sticks this time.

So the code 33 corrected itself and all is normal. No idea what happened. I had it inspected for the other issues and here's what came back -

Shocks leaking, rear - may skip and go OME myself
Control arm bushings shot, rear - cause of squeak. Since the squeak is associated with wheel rotation and changes loudness when braking, I wonder if I have a bent axle.
HVAC blower motor, front
Coolant leak, rear heater
Brake caliper leaking, rear

Waiting on warranty inspector to...inspect.

No. My wife wanted it, I wanted it, and there were 2 other couples waiting for us to decide. We should have walked but we bit. I did get them to flush the trans, I had a plan for maintenance, and we did buy the warranty to cover our asses. The dealership has been fantastic dealing with this. They go to bat for us every time, and have covered some expenses on our behalf.

At this rate the only original item left will be the lug nuts.

Finally got me. Rear heater hose, failed due to rust, not covered, $720.

Instructed dealer to cap the system and I'll deal with it in the spring. $67 part, looks like.
