3 charge souces 1. solar 2.engine alt 3. Prosine inverter to batts

Hello All,
My question is how to have 3 charge sources for the batts. Currently, it's set up to charge the batts when plugged into shore power thru the Prosine inverter or the engine alt charges them while driving.
Now that I am adding a solar panel and the Morningstar MPPT 45 controller, will the charging sources need to be independently switched so that either 2 charging sources don't try to charge the batts at the same time or do the 2 charging sources compensate voltages to keep them in proper range for the batts?
I don't want to cook my batts before I get a chance to use them!
Thanks for any help

Dean

Think of it like 3 different air compressors all hooked up to the same air tank - and each compressor has its own cutout switch.

The voltage regulator on the alternator probably cuts out around 14.2v. The Prosine default cutout is probably 14.4v, but it's programmable. Same with the Morningstar.

So, in normal use, none of the three is going to push the battery up above "full charge" voltage.

EDIT: Er...in other words, you can hook up a bunch of different chargers all to the same battery without issues. Each charger will read the battery voltage and stop charging on its own when the battery's voltage reaches the charger's set point.
