Laptop mount for 2008 Sportsmobile

I know there has to be some SMB owner around here who has a laptop installed...and if so what mount did you use?

I am curently using a Jeniko floor mount in my FJ Cruiser but not sure if that is the best solution on a van with the need to remove the doghouse. Unless I install the mount on the doghouse itself.

And then there is the concern about making sure it isn't in the way of anyone's legs who might transfer from a wheelchair into the drivers seat (from the cargo area).

I know there are companies like Ram & Panavise that make all kinds of bits & pieces but I figured it would be good to check in here first.

If the 2008 doghouse is anything like the 1986 doghouse, its a no-go. Mine is made of fiberglass and isn't nearly rigid enough to support the torque imposed by the mount...let alone the mount AND the laptop. I have my Jeniko mounted to the floor by the driver seat...a perfect place for me, but it does significantly hamper access to the rear from the driver seat. I don't see any other solution however with the laptop. Before too long I'll have a Boomer-puter and a flat panel display and will forget entirely about a laptop. For now, I live with the rear access limitations.

Blatantly stolen from Joaquin's Casa page.

I never get tired of looking at that rig and I can't wait to see it up & running again...
Looks like he cut part of the dash away.

looks like I might be able to do something with either Ram or Panivise parts on the top of the doghouse or maybe just bring a flat/bent plate out from between the dash & doghouse to place the laptop just in front of the ac controls & radio
