Hey all.
im shopping for tires for my 94 montero sr. i would like to keep my vehicle height where it is for now, so no lift. i know a 31 inch tire will fit no worries, but ive heard 33 inch will rub a little bit.

Im wondering if anyone has opted for a 32-inch tire and if they had any thoughts on it?

there are a few options im looking at, the BFG's of course, the new Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, also a Wild Country.

any thoughts would be appreciated!

yeah that was my thought, since its a bit of a weird size. Narrower would be fine, i just like the look of a wider tire.

33x10.5x15 will fit on stock wheels with no rubbing, at least on mine - and its a bit lower than yours - assuming you have a 3.5l.

A 33X10.50 will not rub and there are many of us running that size tire. BTW, going from a 31x10.50 to a 33x10.50 will only raise your truck height about an inch.

I have BFG ATK2 32x11.50r15 and 15x8 rims on my 97LS. I like the look and there is no rubbing so far, though I haven't done a lot of wheeling with it. IMG_3302.jpg

I would opt for pizza cutters (33x10.50), but I had 32x11.50 MTs on a Jeep TJ (when everyone was getting 33s or 35s) and it was a much better compromise with on/off road manners and fuel economy. As a result, it required less lift resulting in better handling, easier entry/egress, etc. Just didn't have the matchbox car "lifted jeep" look so many opt for.

I'm running 32x11.5 right now, got a deal on them. Gets a little funky on the highway in rutted stretches. Will replace with 33x10.5 next.
