It had a nasty vibration at about 60-65 MPH, only upon deceleration.

It turns out the U-joints were toast, and the shop that replaced them (and balanced the driveline) discovered the driveline was too short, after asking me some questions about dirveability issues and spline engagement.

Here's how little spline engagement I had:

So, they rebuilt the driveline (re-tubed it)

I installed a steering wheel of an 88+ Suburban

The same Suburban donated a new shift lever:

Nice looking rig Orange. I had some driveshaft work done too to my old 78.



New front driveshaft did wonders..
