This sleeping platform bolts down to the factory seat mounts and rear tie downs. No modifications to the 4runner are necessary. Just unbolt the rear seats and the carpet in the cargo area. I used generic sized plastic tubs for rear storage. It uses less space, weighs less and is more versatile than drawers. It was in my 97 4runner for 4 years and 50k miles and has held up great. My 80 series has turned into the camping rig and the 4runner has taken up DD duty. It's not a pretty platform but it will get the job done well.
