4-pin wiring (trailer) connectors. >14 gauge

Good afternoon. Does anyone know of a source/supplier for 4-pin quick disconnect connectors (flat trailer connector type) that use wires that are 12 to 14 gauge? Looking at Amazon & ebay the thickest I can find is 18 gauge. I want to use them as a quick disconnect for a pair of 55W HID lights I put on an easily removable cross bar on my Expedition. The length of wire between the relays and the ballasts for the lights would be no more than 6 feet, so I think that 14 gauge may just be heavy enough, but I would feel more comfortable with 12 gauge.

Thank you in advance, and i look forward to hearing from anyone/everyone.

If you strike out, you might consider buying two two-pin weatherpac connectors of Ebay and using them instead. They are quite a bit more weatherproof, and if you solder the connections, you don't really need the specialized crimper to get a really good connection.

They also sell four pin connectors, so you could do that as well.

And 20' of 14ga "zip" wire is also fairly inexpensive, and gets you red and black for ease of wiring.

You could use an IDC connector like the following and solder your 14 awg wires onto the terminals

Sorry I missed the light part, if it's for lights then why not use the 9000 series plugs, you can get them in terminal and housings to crimp your self or I do believe some people have a male female extension harness for both ends. http://www.buyheadlightbulbs.com/9005-Heavy-Duty-Wiring-Harness-p/cir-9105.htm

Thank you for the replies. I bought one of the 4 wire weatherpac units, so will give that a try to see if it will work out as I envision it.

55W is <5amp at 12VDC. x2. At your stated length of 6' you could go as thin as 16ga. 14ga should be more than adequate for the load.

You could also use something as simple as a 'bullet' connector
