404 Unimog Insurance in Canada?

I am trying to insure my 'new' 1968 mog for road use in Newfoundland so far no luck, most of the companies says it is a military vehicle & don't want to insure it.The one company that did is charging me over $2000 cd/year for public liabitity only wich is nuts
Please Canadian moggers tell me who to get my insursance from

UK based so can't give you a Canadian insurance company. As a suggestion, I have a 404, use if for offroading plus pottering around on road. Not into military vehicle restoration or anything like that. However in the newsagents, there are at least 2 military vehicle enthusiast magazines which include adverts from specialist insurers. My insurance is fully comprehensive (eg covers cost of my vehicle in event of accident as well as 3rd party) on a 3000 mile limited policy, on and offroad is £100 per year. In context, thats a lot cheaper than the insurance on any of the other 3 vehicles or any other vehicle I've owned for that matter. May be worth seeing if there is something similar in Canada.
