Hello everyone, here’s my current project.
87 Toyota dually
Utility box with custom Toppo topper pop up roof tent
Lift and 4x4 coming soon
I like it.
I have called Topo to ask for something similar, they didn't sound interested in making one like this. What is your connection to Topo Topper? I would like to order one like this.

This week: Put the camper on the truck, load the rig up with clothes, food, bedding and make final systems & gear checks.

Tomorrow: Head west...Nashville, Memphis, Amarillo then on to the National Forests/BLM public lands of Eastern NM and Southern CO.

Here's a few photos of my setup. Oru Designs Bruin camper on a 2006 Nissan Frontier 6spd. I’ve had the setup for a little over a year and 35,000+ miles. I’ve taken it to both coasts, up to Canada, down to the southern border, and all over the Rockies. Usually skiing Loveland or A-basin, with trips to Wyoming, MT, and New Mexico every Winter. Many nights below 0ºF, and the coldest we've seen so far is -35º.

I’ve been slowly building out a DIY interior with an insulated floor plate, kitchenette, and ski cubby bench. I’ve got a 100ah LifeP04 battery setup that charges off the alternator with a fuse box that runs an Iceco GO20 fridge and a power panel above the table. A small sink with a 12v pump on a switch, some cheap plastic drawers, and usually a diesel heater complete my relatively simple setup. I then use a 4" tri-fold queen mattress that stays up top when the camper is closed.

The floor is a 1" pink foam + wood sheet construction (1/8" base & 1/2" top) with vinyl surface and wrapped in silicone tape with a seal on the front edge that seals to the tailgate. Then a bedrug on top in the Winter to mitigate water. The kitchenette and cubbies then bolt to the wood floor with threaded inserts so they’re quick and easy to remove. The floor comes out in two pieces so it can come out with the camper top still on. It takes about 15 minutes to remove the entire interior and can be done by one person.

That is what most people need, not a 750,000 dollar, 24,000 pound behemoth to roll down the highway in :)

cool rig, man.

Thanks! It's really been a great setup and I'm stoked to show it off a little bit. The camper is hilariously lightweight, my little V6 hardly notices it and I can take it on and off by hand with a few friends. I use my truck very often for regular truck stuff too, so it performs double duty as an actual camper and a topper that holds tools, parts, etc. I can put full sheets of plywood on the cabover bed platform part which is awesome for construction projects. It's been a lot of fun so far.

Currently building out a new diesel heater setup. Upgrading to a 5-gallon stainless tank that should keep me warm no matter the trip duration.

I need more info on the 5gal ss tank!! I have spent at least 5 hrs online looking at plastic, marine, aluminum, and drag race fuel tanks, trying to find something decent for my duesel heater! This was my current favorite, to be mounted on rear pillar in a 5lb propane mount. I have a Tune M1.

Mine is exactly the same, just the 5-gallon version by JSD with the fuel gauge on it. Link Here

Looks like Amazon is out of stock, but you can get it on Walmart, Ebay, etc. Just need to pair it with the right barb fitting for the diesel fuel lines
