Another Foley LR - 4X4 This Time

Seeing the 6X6 Rover on here reminded me of this one that we saw in Zambia back in 2005. The couple that own it are ex-pat Brits and now live there but they had Foley build the truck when they were still living in Britain.
The truck started out as a 127" Rapier missile carrier for the British army.
Along with the crewcab body and box they converted it to a 300tdi motor.

You'd think so, but speaking from experience, they're a bit of a pain in the butt from a daily driver perspective. Think all the size of a full size Super Duty, without the power or comfort.

On the other hand, you can pack one up with a crapload of gear for an extended outing.

I wanted so badly to buy your rig then, just too tied up trying to wrap up the diesel install in my 90.

I hear you though. I envisioned putting in a 4.6 with zf to make it a bit more comfortable and to allow my wife to drive it. I'm still looking for a 130 though now that I have some free time.
