4Runner awning with factory roof rack?

Hi all. I have a 2016 4runner and I'm looking to mount an ARB awning. My plan is to get a better full length roof rack later, but in the mean time, is the a decent way to mount the awning to the factory rails?

Search for my post on this issue; I have a 3rd Gen though. I got two of the ARB brackets and some stainless hardware that fit into the slidey crossbars. I kept the factory thumb screws on the other side so it's very easy to remove. I have no idea what a 2016 rack looks like so it may be irrelevant.

Will these work?

This supplier has some other cool stuff. I also heard Rhinorack is coming out with some new options for the 4 runner but he gave no ETA. I would call them and see what info they can give you.

I've used these before on 3rd gen 4runner and they worked great. They fit on my 4th gen and I might use them for an awning but I'm not quite sure on the strength. Would prefer the equipt1 linked above for strength concerns.

I don't think the ARB awning would mount to that.
