What is the dealer trying to sell the outback to you for? And what was the asking price for the 4runner?

FYI, you're not going to get much negotiating leeway for either vehicle due to buyer demand.

Plug your info into Truecar.com. Looks like for your area, you'd be ~$33,800 for a 3.6, Limited. Just FYI, when we bought ours (2.5 Premium), Truecar told us ~$26,500 for our area. With just a bit of shopping around (aka emails to dealers), we got it down to $25,000 with very little negotiations.

One thing you can do is contact a Colorado/Denver dealer, and get a quote from them. They seem to have fairly good prices on Subaru's. Then show that to your local dealer.
