Hey guys. I picked up my Montero a while back and used this website as a resource for so many projects and maintenance that I took on with my Gen 2.5.
One of those big things was fixing the flashing lights which I was so happy to have done until I swapped 4.90s into the truck with an AWD Sport front axle and bam! They were back.
Since this website was such a good resource for me I was hoping to use this post as a placeholder and a resource for people in the future who experience the flashing 4x4 lights and ABS light after deleting their CAD and going to 4.90 gears. There's finally a solution!
I came up with a super simple, plug-and-play mod that replaces the unused vacuum solenoids and will finally end the dreaded flashing 4wd lights.
No cutting, no splicing, none of that permanent stuff. I've made it as high quality as I can. Soldered connections, OE weather-proof connectors, high quality wire sheathing, all the good stuff.
