In what context is it going to be used? My first response is to just say no to a generator from there. Go with a big brand name ( honda ~ generac) and be happy for a long time.

diesel is the fuel a Mitsubishi fg runs on, and i am anticipating more room for a larger generator.

after adding up my watt requirements, a 5000w generator would leave me with some to spare.

good point on the brand names.

cheers

I would second Honda or Generac... I know that some of the old generac RV sizes used to have some issues, but it seems to me that the brand has come a long way... I am impressed with them in general.

Are you planning on going from disaster zone to disaster zone powering up dead utility grids?? What in God's name are you going to do with 5000W of electricity in an expo rig? Just curious:)

It's for the 103" plazma TV......:wings: Fuel compatability is a good idea. I was going to suggest if it was a "home" unit , to look at the propane conversion. 5K should be enough for full replacement of "shore" power.

:jumping:

exactly.

i have not found so many diesel generators under 5000w......... and the fuel compatibility is important to me. plus if there is a power outage at my house i have a generator i can use.

down the line maybe i can run the generator veg oil.
