Big Bend, Thanksgiving week 2010

After 30+ minutes of enjoying your trip to Big Bend, i scroll down to a picture of a building I spent 4 years of my life nearly living in:

The Engineering complex at Kansas State University. I had some amazing times on that campus, thanks for bringing me back there for a minute along the way.

This compels me to ask about the wilderness and dual-sport sort of opportunities in that area. We've got a good friend who just relocated there, and it would be great if we could tie-in a visit with some off-the-beaten-path adventuring, either in the Jeep or on dual-sport motorcycles. Was there much to do within, say, 100 miles?
