They maybe louder, who knows, ... maybe because the euro sprinters are not available in NA, maybe because you got one and i want one,...
and I re-read your note 4 more times and I still don't see the answers to my questions.
Here is another one; anything new in the Sprinter department at Detroit Auto show?

I think Sprinter is nice and best.
I would buy USED 4x4 Sprinter.
Yes,4x4 Sprinter (and everything else) available in every Hungarian MB Dealer.
But I havent any money for new 4x4 Sprinter and I not so much like NCV3 series.

Hungry is nice and best, and the women are beautiful,
“4x4 Sprinter available in every dealer” ….. how crazy is that?
And it does not even snow in Budapest?
We have bigger problems on this side of Atlantic, .. protectionist, bureaucratic import rules….

Yes,Wowen are very beautiful.:)

"And it does not even snow in Budapest? "
Snow in Budapest are very big. Therefore I will be buy 4X4 Sprinter.
My Hiace 4WD is very bad in snow.
Hungary has the highest registration tax in world.....:(

"….. how crazy is that?"
Sorry,i dont understand it.

Thanks

“snow in Budapest are very big”
Sorry I did not know, how many centimeters do you get during winter?
Here we measure the depth of snow in meters or feet, and its many.
And my 4x4 Tacoma does just fine.
“…. How crazy is that?” is just an expression,
It’s meant to be a little sarcastic, because we have 100 times as many MB dealers here in North America, but not one 4x4 Sprinter can be found in any dealer.,
And it’s meant to be a little bit funny, because Hungary is just a little country, 25 years or so, freed from the grip of Iron Curtin, struggling hard to modernize and westernize. And here we are in the cradle of western capitalism, stuck without choices that you enjoy,
And it’s meant to be a little bit sad, because having the means, where you are in Hungary, you can purchase whatever goods and/or vehicles the world produces and here in North America all we get are mac-goods and mac-vehicles and all we can do is dream and think about how to keep the 20-year plus wv syncros alive another year.
Hope you get your sprinter and hope you’ll post some pics.

Did the parts for your conversion come from Iglhaut-Allrad or Oberaigner?
Can you tell us how much the 4x4 conversion cost you?
I still say, that all this testing is just protectionist b.s.
Any vehicle, designed and build by Germans for German roads, is safer and cleaner than most vehicles on NA roads.
AdamK

Adam,1st I offer my apology for the tone of my response.I'm more present now:eek: and will address your questions.Tom

My parts are Oberaigner,The same ones that are used on the factory 4x4.
My Price?-I don't even want to think about it:Wow1:.Lets just say it continues.
Please understand-The Voice of PASSION:campfire: is the loudest one it our heads. And I must thank my wife for her continuing tolerance.
What mine cost and the price point we wanted to hit are out the window now.Start over-Without mine as an engineering example,I'm not sure we would have taken it on.
We have our passion to carry us thru.
Of course price is a consideration.
Here's how we/it works.(we & it do not necessarily work in concert)

We build one. God know's how much that's gonna cost us!(Hope to hear from him soon on that:bowdown:)

Then we figure out how much it's going to cost to build one for you.:friday:

Then we tell you:wings:, and then you get to decide if that works for you.:ylsmoke:

When? How bout some time this year?

Trust me We want you to have this-IT'S REALLY COOL!

"protectionist b.s."MONEY-Going everywhere!Try to imagine how much flows, just into the wages to write and enforce the "rules".You got it right on!
There protecting us from us and it's b.s.

Hey Tom,
No apology necessary, I know that most of us here on are worked up, one way or another about the Sprinter situation .
As you properly noted, I am, and I know it.

And, thank god for understanding and tolerant wives in our life.

It sounds like you are onto something big, and I am interested. Where are you located. We are going to be doing some travelling through Southwest middle of February and then again in April and probably driving north to the Canadian border in June. If you’re located anywhere close to our route, (route can be modified) maybe you can give me a peek at your Sprinter project.

Are you working with auto transmission or standard? Would standard transmission not be easier to convert into a 4x4? I am trying all kinds of ways with MB to get my hands on standard transmission Sprinter.
