Need to get rid of the side steps and add a front bumper that's actually worth a damn.

I've been busy.

Not enough Dakotas here so here is my latest project. I picked it up this '02 Quadcab last summer with a 3" body lift already installed and a set of Ultma 16' wheels. I've replaced the bald tires that were on it with a set of 285/75R16 BFGoodrich All Terrains. I took the WAAG grillguard and KC Daylighters off my old Dakota and installed them on the new truck. When the weather gets nice this spring I'm thinking about making a bed mounted roof rack.

And here's a picture of the old Dakota in it's younger days. It's now been downgraded to winter beater.

This my take on utilitarian/exploration/chase trucks. Its taken a little over 6 years to get it to this point. Now I can focus on the little details to make it more comfortable.

Looks great swick. I came very close to getting a contractor type shell like that as I've always liked them but decided I'd miss my tailgate.

Well, this is my first post. My 1995 Blazer, 2" Shackles in the back, slight torsion bar crank, 31" BF Goorich AT, Roof rack, Off Road lights, gas can rack/cooler rack built on roof... Still a work in progress

Anyway, enough rambling..Here is some pics!

Awesome!

Before with the massive side steps and small tires it looks so low to the ground,

Looks proper now, I also enjoy the blacked out grill

Picked this little guy up in October. '93 Ranger XT, 5spd, 4x4, 3.0L V6. Came with a 2" lift/level and 31x10.5R15 Wrangler Duratracs.
Been hunting around for awhile for a regular cab, short bed, manual transmission, 4WD Ranger.
Saw this one on CL for a good price and good shape and jumped on it, with the plan to build it into a good range/camp/explore truck.
Found the matching shell with crossbars already installed a few weeks ago, couldn't be more stoked.
I plan to drive it down to my parents house near Joshua Tree to take advantage of my fathers home shop to build a sleeping platform/storage in the summer, then stop in Yosemite on the way home. Girlfriend has never been camping so she's on board, which is important.
