235 85 R16 is a great size for first gen Xterras!

Did some emailing around and got this back from one shop. I have no connections to these peeps, but that is a pretty good deal. They have a shop in Mesa and Flag. Thought I would pass it along, personally I am still reading up on these tires.

Good morning,
I can currently get you into five of the LT235/85R16 Hercules Terra Trac ATII tires for $687.50 This price includes mounting, balancing, taxes and a 3$ cash discount. I've had these tires about a year. They aren't too loud. Great on and off road manners. They worked great this winter in several feet of snow. I did have them siped before mounting.

I had Toyo M/Ts in 285/75r16 prior to these. They were very heavy and did not balance well at all.
I love these skinny tires.

Here is my 235/85/16 Wrangler Duratracs on my Montero

Are you running a lift? Is the ride ok? Some of the Montero Gen 3 guys say the ride is a little loose compared to tires like 265-75-16. I kind of like the idea of the 235-85-16 for mine also. Not sure what I will get...

In case you can't tell they are General Grabber AT2s.
They are mounted on a set of Toyota FJ Cruiser steelies.

Current owner here.

It has an OME lift.

Not a fan of the tire size, feels super weird on this truck. Might pay off if we were using it for offroad work but we're not. On-road manners not awesome. And it looks bad. :p

Andrew from 4XOverland has fitted 235/85R16 BFGoodrich KO2s to his new Troopcarrier for his next expedition. Here's the video for anyone interested

Neat truck Crazy Schooner.

This is the size I'm currently running, BFG AT 235/85R16. Probably jump to 255/85R16 at some point but happy with these so far.
