Pull the plugs and see if you can turn it with no compression.

x2 on pull the plugs and try and crank it.

Only 2 qts? Black oil? I think we have an idea what happened here. You have to watch the oil close in aluminum engines. The '98 on 3.2 and 3.5 are known for sticking rings and oil burning. Then it can go south quick if you don't keep an eye on the oil level. Hope yours is OK.

put a breaker bar on the crank bolt and turn it over by hand
