I have the Porlex grinder and have for years, it works great and has performed flawlessly and for the $100 Snow Peak unit I don't think I'll replace it.

Anyone know if the Snow peak ST070 Charcoal Chimneys are still made?

I never got one years ago at $150, now wish I had. There seems to be some on eBay at crazy prices, but not sure if its a scam, I figured I see more of them on here if they were still being made.

Yes I use a Porlex also. The advantage is it fits perfectly inside the Aeropress !!!

Camp Chef make a great foldable charcoal chimney. I bought one via Kickstart for about $30. They are really well made, foldable and quite heavy duty.

Chemex

Speaking of coffee anyone use Chemex?

I have a Chemex, as well as the Hario V60 and the Kalita Wave. The Chemex filter is heavier so it traps more oils from the coffee compared to the V60 which has a thinner filter. I haven't used the Kalita as much. I think coffee from the Chemex has a smoother taste, very good, maybe cleaner taste. I tend to use the V60 more, especially if I'm just making one or two cups. The flavor seems fuller out of the V60. If I'm making more than a couple cups of coffee, I'll use my 8-cup Chemex.

Stainless and collapsable. May be worth a look.
