23.06mpg combinated as per Toyota...

It's really wonderful that engine, it's only 2HP less than the gas engine (Althought it's a 4.5 nor a 4.7 like the gas) and it has 205Nm (151.2lb ft) more of torque...

Don't understand those buying Cayennes, Touaregs and those, if you can have a Toyota for the same or less!

Until I saw that video, there was nothing exciting about the 200 to me. There still isn't really...but if I ever win the lottery...I'd probably pick one up.

Have you ever driven a Cayenne?

Hahaha no, and I don't see me driving one... I hope Toyota develops a tropicalized version, something like a VDJ205, with dual solid axles, less electronics and the same V8...

When your 80 was brand new, it would have been equally out of the price range of the average consumer.

Thankfully for us, used Land Cruisers are a great value.

Is this the diesel that Toyota is rumored to be bringing to the states?

I'm guessing no. I theorized it may be before the new Tundra came out, but I think the HD truck market needs something bigger.

So sad for us, the US consumer.

Yes. And I was massively unimpressed. The Cheyenne is a vehicle built to capture a share of a market segment, nothing more. If I wanted to go really really fast in a Porsche I wouldn't do it in the Cayenne, i'd do it in the 911 Turbo or GT2/3.

I agree with Brian. I'm not too interested in teh 200. To me it represents a "going away from" what has made toyotas so damn desirable to me: Simplicity and capability. That motor however has me drooling for sure. Pure Turbo-diesel sexines.

Cheers

Dave
