"Narrow" RTT's besides OverZone?

I am trying to find a full size RTT that doesn't take up quite as much rack width. I really like the size of the AutoHome OverZone, but would rather not part with ~$2500 for a tent. Does anyone know of other manufactures that make tents that are only 44'' or 45'' wide and 12'' thick?

Seems like most (ARB and the like) are 47'' wide and that extra 3'' is all the difference in the world for what I am trying to do. I am not as concerned about the length, but would like something narrow and not too thick.

Thanks in advance for any leads. I have searched around a bit on this forum and elsewhere, but its sort of a specific question and I haven't been able to turn up to much.

If you don't want to spend a fortune and need a narrow tent, what about going "old school" with an OverCamp? Here is my old tent from the stone ages.

AutoHome still make them. Mike was selling them for $1200 a couple years ago, but with the dollar so weak, figure on about $1500 or so landed in the states.

I noticed that Mike doesn't list AutoHome's fabric tents these days. This is a shame, they are nicely crafted tents. Guess with all the copies out there, they have to concentrate on their cutting edge tents. Talk to Mike, he should be able to bring in an OverCamp or any other tent that they make for a reasonable amount as long as you can wait to have it made.

AutoHome's international website is www.AutoHome.it gives you some details. Their folding tents date way back. I know of one person who inherited one from his grandfather that was made in Switzerland in the early 30's

Now, that has a cool factor! But seems it would be pretty easy to fabricate and use a variety of tents....nice!
