The Tundra Supertool

I have just been reading back over the thread, and I have to comment on the tires. I have not noticed any harshness from the stiffer E rated tires. Also, I like the appearance of the tires more now that it is leveled. I like how they fit, which is strange because I thought the looked a little small before. Over all, I am very happy with the truck after owning it one month.:victory:
Edit: It does have the worlds worst turning radius, but it has to have one flaw.

You have obviously never owned a 1st generation Dodge Ram. Going from that to our current truck opened all new worlds of nimblenessosity.

Yeah, the the whole LSD/Traction control in 2WD only is mind blowing. I think the TRD's are better off in that regard. Looking forward to putting 5100's on my 06 gas hog with a turning radius of a super tanker.

Thanks. We are really enjoying it. We ran a trail in Moab with it and it did really well inspite of its size. Next weekend, we are taking it to Ouray Colorado and are pumped to see the San Juans again. Wish I could find a good pop up camper for it.

A Few Action Shots

I have taken the Tundra out on a few trips, but I don't think that they really fall under completed adventures, or maybe I don't really want to type up a trip report, so I will put the pictures here.

First, I took it out west of town with a friend and my 4 year old. There is a cool water fall and the tallest curved expansion bridge in the lower 48. The picture of the bridge does not make it look tall, but when we were kids and would repel off of it our 200' rope barely reached the ground. There is a lower half to the water fall that can't be seen in the photo either.

We then had a family reunion at my parents small lake side cabin. It does not have enough room for all of us, so I slept on my memory foam mattress under the tonneau cover. It worked really good, however it made my wife a little claustrophobic. We woke to a beautiful site.

One More

We went with some friends the weekend of the 4th of July to Moab. They own a Polaris Ranger, and wanted someone to show them around (I have been a EJS guide for 10 years). We took the Tundra out on the first part of Fins N Things just to see how it would do. The Polaris and a Durago followed. I was very pleased with how the truck did and so was the wife. It dragged the hitch in a a few places but that was it. We all had a great time especially the kids.

PS notice in the fifth picture, the rear wheel is off the ground. This was taken as the tire was on the way back down. It does not look like much, but it got everyone's attention.

Nice! I drag the hitch on mine from time to time too. The only real issue is the 7 pin trailer light outlet, that mount has been bent back and forth a few times. I should probably cut a hole in the bumper and mount it up higher. Or just get a new rear bumper...

You come on out and I'll be glad to show you around. The Tundrabirds need to get some high desert sand and slick rock under their tires.
