"1973 Unimog 404 - $12000 (Lakewood)
Ex-German firetruck without fire equipment, painted green with siren, blue emergency light, spot light, 2 yellow optima batteries, tire chains and many extras. Everything works perfectly. The truck is almost finished with a MB turbo diesel engine conversion (M617), which will give it plenty of horsepower (135 vs 88) and a plush shifting transmission. The conversion is costing $7000 and includes the new engine, clutch and upgraded radiator. It comes with the original 6cl gas engine with electronic conversion 18,000km, which you could sell. The rest of the truck is in good mechanical condition. Some rust on the box but the cab is in good shape. I have the original paperwork in german, shop manual & parts manuals in English, and plenty of extra parts. This was a German fire truck on a military airfield. Loads of fun to drive and will go anywhere. Downsizing & moving."
