:wings:After a long, long wait, I was finally able to get my bumper modified and my Milemarker SEC 12 winch mounted...
Before (Gold vehicle):
I used a section of 2x8" C-channel steel. The wide section is 1/4" thick and the corners start at 1/2-5/8" and taper down to 1/4" at the ends.:Wow1:
Here's my buddy Mike, cleaning up the surface a bit more prior to welding. He's a former Navy welder and is certified for most types of welding including underwater and high pressure vessel welding.
Mike tacking the first of 4 1/4" thick reinforcement triangles in place.
All 4 triangles tacked into place...
Welding done, bumper painted...
The winch tray ready for the winch...

Next step, swapping out the steel winch line for the synthetic... :ylsmoke:
