This is looking reallllly good!

Thanks.

This next weekend I will have my lift done. I hope to also have the Banks Turbo installed but still havent recieved a shipping quote. Sent him an Email Thursday and Friday. No response as of yet. If the kit doesnt arrive on time I will just have more time this next weekend to fab something else up.

Digging the build so far. One of the coolest things I ever saw was a Willy's running those same humvee rims/wheels. Was awesome. Loving them on this beast. Plus anyone who loves an 1895 is a-ok in my book. I'm in Az - let me know if you want to get together sometime.

Thanks.

I sent you a PM. I will be home on the 4th and then headed to LA for that weekend for the build. My brother and I will be working in his shop for this phase. Sometime after that weekend we can get together. She should be looking a bit better by then.

When I have a bit more time I will build a new spare tire tailgate mount. I will loose the factory beat up tailgate and put my setup in its place. Here are a few pics.

Yes. I am using 2" spacers. They work great. You just need to inspect them after the first 100 miles and retorque them to specs. Other than that they are great.

i have the torque specs if u need them. did u get the glow plugs 60G? ,my rover has the same motor J code 6.2. simple and reliable. very cool blazer i like it,

YUP. I installed the Glow plugs last year. One of my first mods as well as the new 200 amp starter relay mod. The truck has run very well! In fact I averaged 15.71 MPG on my way down to LA with about a 2500 pound payload and running 34" tires with 4.56 gears at b65 mph with NO over drive! I cannot wait untill I get my OD trans installed. I bet I will come close if not go over that 20 mpg mark! The Turbo will gain me a net of about 20% better fuel economy on top of that.

I hope to have the 4" lift completed sometime Sunday afternoon. Today went pretty well with only one hiccup but nothing that a quick trip to NAPA couldnt fix. Will post some pics Sunday.

And yes I too cant wait to see her with her new shoes on!

also injection pump return hose put a clear one , so if it ever acts up u can see if there is any air in the system . i was looking at my friends diesel Mercedes benz , and the design is amazingly the same with 6.2. except the injection pump.

glow plugs are 95 % the same

the have same cdr valve .

fuel feed and exit system is just the same

injection pumps are lubricated by fuel on both of them

they need 3/4 psi on injection pump to run.

in fact 6.2 looks stronger since its gear driven motor vs Benz chain driven motor.

on the diesel forum most guys have over 350k miles on 6.2 and they run very strong

The 6.2 Diesel was designed by Detroit Diesel for fuel economy and longevity. 350,000 miles is typical if you treat her well.

Sorry about that. The drive home was a bit warm with 120 Plus degree weather and no A/C. We arrived home late Tuesday night and pretty much took a shower and hit the sack. The lift is done and has surpassed all expectations! In fact Im almost embarrased to say that the ride is better than my new Dodge 2500! No kidding. Washboarded roads are barely even noticed! The side rumble srtips are a joke! I cant believe how much nicer my truck is. It completely changed this truck. OK here are some pics.
