I'm looking at a 1988 Suburban 3/4 ton, 4x4, diesel. The guy is asking way too much for it, but I would like a printout of private party value to show him. All I can find is retail from NADA, which of course is way more than it's worth. Anyone know of a place I can go to get that?

Kelley Blue Book shows prices for private sale, but the listings go back 20 years, not into the 1980s.
You could search sources like autotrader.com, cars.com and truckpaper.com to see if you can find a similar model for sale.

When it gets to a certain age, guides dont matter. 80s vehicles can now be in this mold. It's supply and demand coupled with rarity and the condition it is in. Diesels will command more. You didnt post a price, but I think you may want to try and figure out what it's worth to you and not what the book says. If it's common, try to find another. If one cant be easily found in the same condition, well, you know why he is asking what he is.
