Wow that is nice looking and a good price-I wish I was closer so I could take a better look.

the vegetation, house style, sloping driveway and street with a square curb are not typical for the Phoenix area (not that it couldn't be but not typical.) But we'll see, just sent an email.

Hadn't thought of the scam angle. A while back I saw a Jeep Wrangler with low miles, upgrades, and a super low price. I emailed and the reply I got was reminiscent of those from my Nigerian prince uncle.

Thanks for that. I thought it was too good to be true...

Same ad, only obviously not in Phoenix.
SCAM?

I saw that too, here on the S.D. Craigslist. Yes it's a scam.

The faded typeset in the Craigslist ad is a dead giveaway! As is sending you to another email other than just responding to the assigned Craigslist email.

Here it is before it disappears (minus the faded typeset).

1975 Toyota Landcruiser – FJ40 (4x4)

Looking for a good home and someone to drive.
Previous Owner spent a lot of time restoring and did an excellent job.
This 1975 is in very nice shape and unfortunately
spends most of its time sitting in the garage.
Starts on a dime, strong brakes, all instruments work, nice paint and upholstery etc...
Nice and Clean! Not much to say past that except – ask questions if you have any.
NO RUST – Including no rust under Diamond Plate
Pictures say it all.
THIS CAR DRIVES IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
For details please feel free to ask directly at:

Care to explain? Feel free to PM me if it is too long...

They do a copy and paste of their former fake ad....then paste it all around Craigslist. Because it's a copy and paste ad....the typeset becomes faded. You can tell it's a copy and paste ad. Not a normal Craigslist typed ad.

The low price and diverted email address are also dead giveaways!

Current San Diego Craigslist scam with diverted email address.

I'll post up a faded typeset ad when I find one. Won't be hard to find!

This was also on the Boston, Providence RI and Minneapolis CL's.

Whoever it was up thread who pointed out that scammers seem to like a 'price' between about $4200 and 4700 was spot on.
