Which propane camping fire

Thanks guy's, I think I will order one.
My main propane tank is a 11 lb, so I will pick up another 10 or 20.

Wood does take up lots of room, but its nice to have both options on a trip.

Portable fireplaces are pretty convenient. Great for when you roll in after dark, or when the wind shifts and you just need to relocate. It doesnt replace the ambiance of a Saturday night bomfire with the whole crew, but it definitely has it's place.

At $100, the complimentary fiberglass propane tank aint cheap, but it makes the portable fireplace even more easy to move about. It's also nice to be able to see the available gas remaining.

It seems like more often than not I roll into camp late, and a propane fire would be great in that respect. I also like having something for chilly mornings, and a no fuss option would be welcome. I went ahead and ordered one. Time to get a bigger tank.:sombrero:

Now your Glamping Corey! :wings: Maybe now you will make the "List" :hehe:
He he he, I was a target over there long long ago.

I was reading under the testimonials section that one couple used a small 5 lb tank and got around three nights out of it.
I have a small one I use at home for backup when my big 20 lb tank goes dry when I grill during the summer at home.
I might try using the small tank first before I buy another fiberglass 11 lb tank.

Will have a full review on this and much other gear to my gear review thread after my first trip out this year.

I'm going this route. Please post a review using the 5lb tank if you get a chance.

Mine will take longer to arrive, but it was also packed/shipped Monday - great service! I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to use it, but I'm excited nonetheless.:REOutCampFire03:

Ships ground, I bet you get it by Friday.

I will get pics later, to tired tonight, long day at work.
This was packed very nice, double packed in an outer box, and the display box inside.

Read the manual all the way through, will get it assembled later and maybe a few pics.
Will have to test it out on my porch for leaks to make sure everything is tight, then it will be packed away ready to load in the rig when it is time to hit the mountains.

I have the black cover for it too which will protect the outer casing when it is in the rig.

Got a chance to fire it up this morning, and I dig it :D
I ended up buying a new 11 lb fiberglass tank for it yesterday when I was down at the propane store getting a 20 lb tank refilled for my barbeque at home.

Vids were shot with the GoPro2 Hero at 1080P wide setting.
Pics were taken at 11 megapixels then shrunk down.

Do you think you need the chips? Seems like if the can tipped they could spill out ? Any thoughts?

Nice vid gave me a good idea what it's like :)

Thanks guy's.

Honu, you would have to call their 800 number about the chips.
They do look like they would slosh around if you did not carry it level.

I think their only purpose is to simulate coals, and they do that quite well.

When I get out, I am going to get a comparison video with a real fire and this unit.
