great thread idea!

stock except for a Rola roof basket in October, 2007:

then, for a long time, it sat at 4.5" on 33's with factory axles and most of it's factory parts still. this was perfect for expeditions and daily driving:

unfortunately (for my wallet), i enjoy rock-crawling as well as the expo/camping thing, so it's now at 6" on 35's with different axles, heavily trimmed, some dented sheetmetal, 2nd engine, etc., etc.:

July 24th 2006, the day I picked it up at the dealership after a several month wait to build it and get here.

The way it sits now minus the ATAS-120 ham antenna which is on the ARB bumper.

Shortly after I bought the Defender - it came with the ARB bumper - about all I had added at this point was the lights and Warn winch

Not too many exterior changes - alloys with mud terrains, Hannibal roof rack and awning, Maggiolina roof tent, rear tire carrier and rear bumperettes, home made trailer hitch plate - but several things under the skin such as dual batteries, on-board air compressor and air tank, on-board shower, Iron Goat dash with extra gauges, spring retainers and Bilstein shocks, rock sliders, Great Basin rear axles, Rovertym tie rods, Alpine stereo with Boston Acoustic speakers. It sits at stock height on 235/85R16 tires.

I went back and looked but couldn't find any pics that were completely stock.

Here's one that was close back in 2006:

2 years later, ditched the hard cover, added a tool box and soft cover, brushguard, a few lights all around, canoe rack, 31" Cooper S/T's, cb radio with dual whips, along with interior extras, not to mention the hundreds of dollars spent on maintenance

Re: Post #7...The March/April edition of 4WD Toyota Owner has a nice pictorial of a "certain" '06 Tacoma belonging to a "certain" ExPo member known as barlowrs. Good job! :sombrero:
