The Twisted build

A little background I am a person with disabilities. I really messed up my back from being hit by some **************. This past August I broke my neck in a motorcycle accident. Previously to my unfortunate events I was a mechanic and certified by 7 manufacturers. Now I'm studying to become a Special Education and Secondary English teacher. Anyway, back to the handicapable incredibuild! I sold my Audi A6 and picked up a black sand pearl 2008 SR5, regular cab, 4cyl, 4x4, 5spd with 55k on the ticker.

Here she is the day I bought her! September 4 2011

Here she is the next morning I couldn't roll stock Color matched wheels! :D

3 weeks later this happened :( and the build was put on hold

attachment.php

It didn't stop me from Meeting up with some other members for some light off roading at 7-mile ORV
attachment.php

I got the brace off on November 10th and go back to modding the truck when i could first up was some more light!
attachment.php

Quick night shot

attachment.php

Well that just wouldn't do so I got some lightforce 170 strikers for Christmas and relocated the fogs

attachment.php

attachment.php

Then came the OME lift kit It was a big debate between what springs to get because the spring rates aren't designed for the regular cab. So I spent a while on the phone with ToyTech (great people by the way) and was guided to the 885x springs because I'm getting a winch and plate bumper.

here is part of the install

So i got bored and went to HomeDepot...... and got some derp...

After reading numerous threads on how the guys with roof rack lights complain about the lights shining off the hood into their face I decided to flat black the hood to alleviate some of the light coming back at me.

So i wiped the hood down with 91% isopropyl alcohol and masked off the hood where i wanted to spray the derp.

attachment.php

Then i make off the rest of the truck

Batter Isolator!

attachment.php

Winch wires up and both batteries, everything works perfectly

attachment.php

Had to cut part of the grill to get the cables behind the grill and to the battery and winch.

attachment.php

Finally all back together and the cable on the winch

attachment.php

And of course I had to drive up onto the rocks

Today was a busy busy day 7 hour drive to the shop, then relaxed for a bit, got the kiddos to sleep around 11:00 finally and started working on the truck.
We only got the components installed today.

Boston Acoustics SE 60 55w RMS hooked up to a pioneer BT-8000 head unit.

I'll post pictures tomorrow I'm on satellite internet and it's taking forever to upload them.

UP NEXT DUAL BATTERY SET UP AND SUV BOX

Pretty cool build so far Twisted. Nice touch on the Kicker and the Boston audio. They both used to make some amazing stuff in my day and I am sure they have not stopped. I think I would have rounded off the edges of the enclosure but thats just me being picky. Looking forward to seeing how you finish off the rack as everything else is coming together very nice!

Thanks Guys I've done a little more work. I have the lights for the rack ready to rock and roll

IMG_0984.jpg

Got the Hi-Lift mounted up; but it's going to had ego be moved because it gets in the way of the rack.
IMG_0986.jpg

Made some new battery tiedown brackets to keep them from sliding around.
IMG_0992.jpg

And finally, I got my CB installed. Well kind of I still need to run the Coax.

Hi from another Spokaner! That's a good looking project. Thanks for posting. Besides the 7-Mile ORV park, where do you go off-roading?
