Ok...so the plan is to get some OME suspension components for my truck. Rear coils and rear shocks for sure. As well as a set of front shocks. But what do you guys think of the torsion bars...Could I get away with my stocks one...also...how much can you crank those bad boys up. Ive cranked them up a bit to give the truck a more level look. However I could still go higher as the front end still sits low and the back end will still go higher. Any thoughts?

Stock torsions should be fine as long as you don't have a winch or bumper.

12 rotations on them equals about 1.5" of lift. Thats not too much and makes the truck sit at about stock rake with ome coils. I'd reccommend trimming the droop stops too.

So an update...just did a big giant road trip...I was so impressed with how the truck performed. While on the road I stopped at a Canadian tire and they had a tire sale. I bent and got 4 Goodyear wrangler MT tires for the price of three with an extra 20%. Plus it was in alberta so I didn't have to pay the tax. Who's the happy camper...This guy

I got home and I found three boxes for me. One was my knock off snorkel from Malaysia, The other my manual locking hubs, and finally the EGR blanking kit. So tomorrow I'm going to be a busy bee and get 'er dun

Godo progress so far man, I used to have a setup like you, that utilized plastic tubs and what not, I sorta miss it for short runs.

Hi,
Don't make the same mistake I did, which is to crank your torsion bars up to near level with the back. All this does whether you have stock or HD OME torsion bars, is to make the front wheels skip over bumps rather than rebound nicely as if you had coils.

I've been told by a 4x4 specialist, and maybe I'm totally wrong, but you should have between 30-60 mm difference from front to back.

Lower at the front. This way the front won't be wound up so tight that the torsion bar is near the end of its twisting force. I wound mine back down on this principal and it was so much better.

Nice to see the work you're doing.

Curious though about your drawer design in this pic...

Am I right in assuming it isn't accessed from the top but from the side instead?

Man I am SLOW on the draw for getting pictures up on the internet!!!

So Since My last video my truck has under gone a few minor things. And one major FAIL

So I got a roof rack for it. Its Designed to fit perfectly on the pajero. Its aluminum so its really light but it also had no paint on it....I painted it Nearly right away and I looks Sharp

Been having problems with My locking hubs having good seals and also the dust seal behind the hub....as a result...I have had to do the bearings a couple more times.....To much offloading?
I also Got my Front Old Man Emu Shocks in...Don't know if I mentioned anything about getting the rear shocks and coils in as well...They are both old man emu too.

Ive been getting lots of off-roading in. I have found that I have a few more things I want to do to the truck...Firstly...Those 15 inch rims have to go and Id like to replace them with some 16 inch steelies and some 235/85R16 tires. That size tire is basically a 32 inch tire with just over a 9 inch width. Perfect for those road trips where skinny tires get the advantage on the highways.

Lastly, here is a quick sketch I drew just for one at work one day to give some perspective as to what I would like to accomplish with my truck....Yes that is an exhaust pipe coming from the roof rack. I did an experiment this year to see about making an exhaust snorkel...It looked cool so Im going to build one that eventually works with the rear bumper. Its all just for looks right!

Finally a youtube clip of the truck running around the bush. Its always a good time!
