Vario Crewcab conversion to single cab??

I'm looking to build an overland camper from a Vario 4x4 base similar to this: http://4x4fulltiming.com/plans_page_1.aspx (but a little smaller).

My problem is (well one of many!) is that I only seem to be able to source Crewcab based models in Ireland.

My question is: Is it possible (and straightforward?) to trim a Vario crewcab down and has anyone any pointers and how to approach it?

Thanks

Ian

Can you find the chassis you need in a nearby country? It might be cheaper to travel to find what you need than to rebuild the cab.

Ian keep an eye out for the EX-ESB trucks, they make a great base for a custom camper.
They also have 4x4 Iveco Dailys sometimes also.

Ahha sorry I didint see the other thread.
Make sure you give it a good mechanical workover as they are usually poorly maintained, but at the prices they sell at they are fantastic value.
