2H Engine .... Belt Question

Hi Guys,

Anyone out there with a 2H powered troopie or 60 series... I just need to know how long and wide the fan belt is !! My car is fitted with a 110cm and 1.5 cm wide belt... I brought a kit from TT in Australia and the belt provided is too long... as its a special order for my Toyota dealer, they won’t except it back (€40) and can't confirm the length... A Toyota specialist recon they have the correct belt for my car but only 1cm wide... its the 3rd wrong belt supplied, so want to get it right...

My car is fitted with a second battery tray and this has an effect on alternator and adjustments.

Cheers
Matt

Just here...
Here is what I did with my 3B when I popped a belt (and what Ive done with cars in the past). Get a length of string and make it into a "belt" and mark out the length. Go to a parts shop where they will have a variety of different belts in various widths and lengths. Match it up as close as possible.

Thanks mate,
Its sorted... brought off the shelf a 107.5cm X 1cm as I'm assured a 1.5cms is too wide... does the job, I just hope the alternator doesn’t smash its-self to pieces on the battery tray I have 4 mm clearance… being thinner it sits deeper into the pulleys and equates to the same length…

HI,
Most 2H engines are fitted with a 15mm wide belt depends on month and year should 1080mm or 1055mm or 1105mm long.
1cm will not last too long it will sit in the Vee too deep.
The length of string trick is on of the best ways to do it .

I hope this helps.
