I arrived for an 8 day stay. Mostly to just have fun and enjoy the backcountry before my other friends joined me to hunt Javelina for the last few days. Good freinds and good times.
Here I am arriving by myself to set up my camp before an incoming winter storm arrived.
I found out that setting up the King Kamper full canvas by yourself in 40-50 MPH winds is not fun. What normaly would take me about 1.5 hours took me almost 4 hours.
Notice the ratchet straps on the left end and the truck parked to help break the wind. I had about 8 hours of 40-50 MPH winds. Not fun but I was impressed the tent handled it without any problems. I just needed the 23 tie downs to stay in one spot. :shakin:
Rain turned to snow on Monday and the surounding mountains were beautiful.
No problem staying warm with the new wood burning stove. High 20s outside and around 70 inside.
