Not that I am in the market but all these pics and none of the interior. Might help your sale if people saw what the insides look like, same with under the hood. Cool looking rig from the outside!!!

What's the center of gravity like with the lift and taller tires? Do you get that funny feeling when leaning over?

I'm shocked you still have it. If I get back in the market, I'm heading over to pick it up.

If you go to the OP's photobucket link in his sig line, and skip to page 7 of his album, there are more pix of the undercarriage and engine bay.

Then skip to page 10 to get interior shots.

At first it did take a little getting use to when it leans. This has been my first lifted truck so I definitely had a learning curve. It's amazing though how stable it really is. On the road it can take fairly tight curves pretty darn well. The springs are super soft so it tilts a good bit on entry, but once it's set it's totally predictable and handles really well. Off-road it's also pretty good, but again don't have much to compare it against. I haven't ever had the feeling of it tipping over though and I've had it on some fairly extreme angles.

Thank you! :smiley_drive:

I'll try to get some better pics of the interior/ undercarriage. I took these at night with a light so some things didn't turn out right and look off.

Sorry to hear about the accident, hopefully everyone was ok. I find the truck to be very street-able actually for how extreme it is. The biggest thing is that when on the highway (70mph), if the road surface dips down or changes the truck wants to pull fairly hard. It took a little getting use to for me, but after a little while I became very comfortable driving it and I know when to expect it so it's not an issue for me.

As far as stop and go traffic it's actually pretty nice. It's not really fast, but it still keeps up with traffic well and is really fun with the 5spd. It really lets you control the power and makes sure you have it when you need it. The brakes aren't the best, but they are by no means bad. They will really pull you to a stop if you need them to and with the diesel you don't have to use them much because the motor slows it down anyways. I've found it very livable as a daily driver.

If I were to use this truck though everyday, I'd probably get a different set of wheels and tires for it for road use. I think that would really help with the pulling on the highway. And if I only used it on the road and not off-road I'd lower it down and maybe change out the gears, but by doing that, it would ruin the truck in my mind.

I'm fairly flexible on the $23k. If your serious it doesn't hurt to make and offer and we can go from there.

ive seen it in person... its drool inducing ride!

Thanks Zimm :) It's parked for the winter now and when I go over to the garage and see it I just want to climb over stuff with it haha. Hope you have a happy holidays.

Hello, that's a cool vehicle, I like that rear bumper - solid!

But how do you know the vehicle left the factory in late 83, then it could be a 1984 model as they produce next years models from september?
From the VIN number it looks like it is outside the 1983 production series, i.e an early or mid 1982 model, then stored for shipment to Congo (order 632), but instead imported to the US in 1983/84? From what I can see from your pictures you got the early 1982 style small brake booster and early brake fluid reservoar, old style switches on dashboard and early style center dashboard console. I looked up the data card, here's what I found - with reservations. Cheers!

In 1984 many of these equipment codes was not optional but became standard in all production.
S59 would have been recaro seats, must be mounted later.
H02 would have been air conditioner.
P39 for enlarged fenders use wide tires.
R78 for light alloy wheels for wide tires.

With such a nice vehicle you should mount the 463-model plastic covers that fit inside the 460-model fenders, pretty nice price on them.
There is a bit more work on the front fenders than the rear, but it's worth for protecion against water and dirt, etc. Here are the 463 part numbers,
or you should check if they don't produce specific 460/461-model inside fenders now!

A 463 884 01 22 Front, right.
A 463 884 00 22 Front, left.
A 463 884 05 22 Right rear
A 463 884 04 22 Left rear
16x Mounting bracket: A 463 881 20 14 (stainless steel)

Check out here how it is done; (might use google translate?)

THS TRUCK HAS BEEN SOLD

I will miss the truck very much, but right now at this point I'm honestly not trying to think back to it. It is a very special truck and will always have a good spot in my heart. Hopefully I'll be back into another G someday, but I'm going to enjoy a little e55 amg power first.
