Great build, Now that you have it dailed in and know what works and what you like.
Tear it apart and get a coat or yellow on it to match the jeep.

it's here waiting for warmer weather. I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks I can make it happen.

Post pictures when you do!

Any problems with water in the kayaks while hauling them?

they were ok flipped over and only had maybe a couple cups of water in them but eventually we will get some cockpit covers. I had to let the tent air out yesterday since it was packed away wet. I have a couple of ideas that have come to mind yesterday/today. The build still isn't entirely complete but it's useable now. I have a trip planned in a few weeks but not sure I'm going to carry the trailer.

I had a similar issue, but here the temp is only Monstaliner friendly for a couple months a year. I had lows down to 40s and I called them to see what they thought. They were helpful and said that my temps wouldn't hurt application.

Just an FYI

thanks for the info!!!! I spent some time today taping off the edges. I need to order another roller from them then I'll be ready.

well I've ordered the rollers I need for applying the monstaliner. I hope next week to get the trailer painted. I'm going to spend some time on the Jeep prepping a few areas that need touch up and a couple issues I have on the Jeep.

I've spent a few hours over the last couple days taping off and sanding the trailer and Jeep(areas that need touch up). I hope to work on it a few more hours this weekend and plan to have it ready to paint once the rollers show up.

Got a wild hair this morning and decided to do the monstaliner on the Jeep. These are a few pics of before and after the first coat. I also touched up a few areas on the Jeep

I'm waiting a few minutes before I go to apply the second coat. I'm guessing at this point it's going to take at least 3 coats to get it covered.

Well the paint is FINALLY done. I ended up doing about 4.5 coats on it and got the tape off of it. I hope I never have to do this again but if I did I think I would be tempted to try to spray it. Getting all of the nooks and crannies is quite bothersome to me. The paint is far from perfect and not as nice as alot of others on here and certainly not as nice as a Sierra or Manley trailer but I take quite a bit of pride in the fact that this thing was all built by me. One thing i do like about the monstaliner is that it even makes my welds look good. :)

So for now I have a few small items on my "to do" list.
1. Remount the rotopax carriers/water tanks
2. I'm going to try to mount a high lift jack carrier on the outside passenger side of the trailer.
3. I think I'm going to buy a hitch carrier bike rack and modify it to work on the back of the trailer
4. Over time I am going to try to look into a solar charger for onboard battery
5. I still have to buy/run the wire from the Jeep to the trailer for it to charge while going down the road.
6. When I removed the tape today some of the black paint on the top came off. Sometime later I will probably need to sand and repaint it. I was worried the galvanized metal would have issues holding paint and prepped it like I had read about online but that's not a big deal(or a priority)

Next weekend we are suppose to have another outing so hopefully I'll be able to carry both the Jeep/trailer. We were suppose to be somewhere this weekend but rain is expected for the next three days. :(

Today I messed around a little on both the trailer and the Jeep. I had a bracket to install a highlift jack on the outside of trailer and re-installed the rotopax mount and 5lb propane tank

I'm not to sure about the highlift mount. We have a lot of theft in our area so I'm probably going to have to figure out a way to lock it to the mount. I debated putting the highlift on the mount on the inside of the trailer but that could make getting it out a real PITA if I needed it when loaded down.

Drill 1/4" holes at the end of the highlift bolts just past the wingnut and buy some locks that fit the holes. They usually come in a 2 pack.

When I mounted my Hi-Lift to the rack on my truck, I just got rid of the wing nuts and bought locking wheel nuts at the local auto parts store.
