probably not, but probably rusty underneath the new paint. Also, unless it was just imported very recently it probably was not imported properly (definitely not federalized)

It seems from my experience the Atlanta area has always had more than its fair share of gray-market Mercedes Benz vehicles. I used to work with a guy who had a very nice MB 500SLC gray-marketed into the ATL area. I've seen a number of different gray market MBs driving around there

Not all rare vehicles are owned by people who class them as uberdollar

Some tried in the local newspaper and got no hits, and then priced it a 2k over the local explorer that just sold.

1985 was a long time ago....I don't think its a recent import......all gwagons came from germany !

It does not hit my scam buttons-----but i did'nt stay at a holiday inn last night

People import older G Wagens all the time. My 1982 was imported in 2007 - would not surprise me if this was imported painted and sold...
