Hi all,
I had started rebuilding the upper part of the engine on my '89 LWB Montero with the assistance of a friend. We got it through the installation of rebuilt heads and then he moved. Not being a stellar mechanic I didn’t' want to tackle it myself for fear of messing things up and hoped to get back to it someway...somehow. Unfortunately my wife lost her job of 11 years. We are tight all around and need to sell the project. I am in it about $3500, and have everything but a few belts needed to get it back together. Including the rebuilt heads spent ($400 on those), rodded and pressure tested radiator (another $100), new stock fan ($90), full gasket set ($100), installed new master and slave clutch cylinders ($50+). Plus various new smaller items, Radiator cap, thermostat, etc...
The body is straight and the BF Goodrich MT's have about 70% of their life left in them. Its been on non-op so there are no outstanding fees. It’s a great vehicle with 189K on the chassis and a good mech could have it rolling in a day or so. I really need to come up with $1500 or so for bills so if someone is interested please drop me a note at mmagusb@hotmail.com
We live in Southern Cal. in the Temecula Valley area. I will post it here for a week or so then it goes on Craigslist.
Thanks,
Mark
