KAT-1 with a conex converted to a basic camper - currently for sale I think.

Wow... As they went along in the flat, dry sand, I was counting off $10, 20, 30, ... every second in how much fuel was being used up. They must have serious money to own one of these things, or were they rentals?

Fuel is cheap in Libya, around 10-15 ct/gal. With an 8x8 you get about 2-3 mpg in heavy dunes, on the road you get about 4-5 mpg. My 6x6 gets about 5-6 mpg on the road. The 30 year old air-cooled turbo charged Deutz engine is not so bad regarding fuel consumption (225 gFuel/kWh). This is about 10-15 % worse than modern engines (190 gFuel/kWh). But the permanent 6x6 or 8x8, together with the off-road tires costs also a lot.

The trucks are not so expensive. Last time a 6x6 was about $15.000 direct from the army. But depending how much you drive and where you drive, the most money goes into fuel.

I have much more fun in driving my truck as driving any SUV. :victory:

$25k reserve....

Sadly, I bet it has more cupholders than my LX450... :(

Firstly, A tricycle with a cupholder has as many as our LX's... :(

Secondly, is she as attractive as I think she is or is that the truck behind her, 1000hp
