Posting this here because I know it will be gone before I can get the funds to buy it myself.

Would rather have our people get it then have it fall into the hands of someone who just wants a grocery getter or worse yet someone who will do unspeakable things to it like turn it into a lowered worthless eyesore.

By design, the Monteros are difficult to lower.

Did it go to someone good, then? Nice looking.

1st project will be the roof rack.

Needs paint as well, what does every one think of this color?

Yup, I like the color also. Am I right in assuming it's an LS model too. The seats are the kind sold with LS'. If it is an LS, then it should have a limited slip in back. I've done the rubicon in a 4 door using the LSD. Locked up nicely enough when needed.

It will be a while before I paint it, perhaps the color will grow on me by then and I will keep the colors but refresh it with new paint.
It is now in my drive way. Time to take the wheels off my old Montero and swap them onto the new Montero. The 27" tires are nice for around town but what a drag it would be off road.

It is now registered in my name, insured and functioning as a daily driver.
The color has to go. Sitting in the driver seat and staring down at that white hood glaring in the Arizona sun is straining my eyes.

I am going to paint the hood a matte green soon while I save enough to paint the entire beast proper.

It really needs suspension, the shocks are worn just like the shocks on my 1989. Its not too noticeable until it goes over a speed bump or similar features in the road.
The rear end bottoms out on speed bumps.
Hazard switch will need replaced in the near future, there goes $60, and the AC switch might be going out as well, you have to push it just so to get it to engage.
Sun roof needs tuning to get it moving right again, in no hurry with that, its locked closed and the sun is blocked.

I do not care for the electric windows and locks.

The stereo is great. AC is cold and it feels like it just wants to cruise from place to place and not be hurried.

Very happy with it so far.
