    Default Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

    The Mitsubishi Fuso FG 4x4 is a popular choice as the chassis for an expedition camper.

    Carl Hunter's expedition camper, a Bigfoot travel trailer mounted on a Fuso FG 140 4x4 chassis, is a well-known example.


    Carl and his wife, Mary, decided to drive around the world in 2002. Carl designed, sourced, and constructed this vehicle in 90 days. The truck and cabin were virtually trouble-free during that 6 month, 22,000 mile journey.


    Bruce Hersey mounted a 17 foot Casita trailer as a camper body. The Casita is 16 inches narrower than the Bigfoot trailer, so it doesn't extend beyond the width of the cab.


    Australia's John Learoyd constructed this adventure camper. The single rear wheels are 225/100 R16 Michelin XZL. John also replaced the stock suspension with air bags and longer springs.


    Kim and Don Greene designed this camper. The shell was built by Unicell in Toronto. Kim and Don are currently in Australia, after driving throughout South America and across New Zealand.

    ExPo member "TomD" purchased Darrin Fink's original AATREC camper


    Australian Kym Bolton designed this pop-up camper for a trip across Asia in 2007.


    ExPo member Doug Hackney designed and constructed this highly modified Fuso camper in 2007.


    Expeditioncampers member "Tom" has a new camper


    This is "Tom's" second Fuso camper. Here's the first, on the Prudhoe Bay haul road in 1993.

    Michel Szulc Krzyzanowski worked with Santek to design and build this camper in 2007.


    Expeditioncampers member "Jeffrey" mounted an S&S camper to the flatbed on his Fuso FE. The vehicle is just slightly over 18 feet long. The electric jacks make quick work of lifting the camper off the flatbed.


    Expeditioncampers member "Desert Camper" designed this camper. It was built by Callen in El Cajon, CA.


    The Australian company WarriorSVB builds this custom camper


    Amesz, another Australian firm, sells a custom camper on a Fuso 4x4 chassis


    Amesz also has a cool shop truck with single rear wheels

    Hardy Hornberg built this camper from aluminum sheet


    While not a camper, this vehicle could be outfitted as one


    This short wheelbase FG carries a 12 foot Alaskan Camper


    I have forgotten who owns this camper! Can anyone help?

    Their web page includes this text: "We can provide a light upfit or a fully self contained unit, retaining the dual wheel setup, or with a single rear wheel conversion." I sent an email asking for details.

    That looks like a Chalet Travel Trailer on the bed of the truck.

    It's a pretty unique design in hard-sided pop-ups. I had a neighbor in Colorado (a bow hunter) who loved his Chalet trailer.

    However, it seems like an unlikely choice for a quad-cab truck. It would be pretty tight with four or five people in that camper.
