Sorry for the delay in responding.

Keeping in mind mine was a TBI 5.7L.... I put an Edelbrock Performer intake on it, Edelbrock cam with new lifters, new roller timing chains, thing had good compression... made zero difference. I was really disappointed in the engine lack of performance... my only suggestion would be a different power plant... or different truck. I won't buy anything older than 2000 in a Chev product just because of the Vortec and TBI.

no prob. kinda what I figured, they don't have the power or towing capability like the newer trucks.. that's the only thing I don't like about the OBS. thanks for the input tho.
