Hi everyone,
Have been reading forum posts for years now, don't know why I haven't made and account earlier. This is my '94 Land Rover Discovery 1, bought it almost 3 years ago from LR dealer here in Costa Rica and have been a constant work to get it to what it is now. As you may know, this never ends, and want to show what I've done and read what you think.
This is the day I picked it up. Stock with its 3.9 V8
Some months later. TJM +2" Coils w/ Pro Comp shocks, custom bull bar w/ Smittybilt X2O 10k winch, Roof rack, etc.
Was tired of the Lucas EFI (tell me something new), put a Edelbrock manifold w/ FAST programmable TBI, and MSD Distributor, 6AL Ignition Box, and Ignition Coil.
It was a perfect combination, but in its last ride, oil pressure was VERY bad but carried me home (Like ALWAYS
). So changed the TBI for a Defender 1.4 Transfer box.
Several months later. 2" Body Lift, Pro Comp 15" wheels on 31's, and TJM Bull Bar. Changed the dead V8 for a Isuzu 4jb1 2.8 Turbo Diesel w/ Engine Conversions kit from UK. It has been the best mod I've done to the car.
Last "mod", changed its color to G4 Challenge Tangiers Orange.
From the BIG list I have for future projects for the car, thinking to put some bigger tires. Don't know if BF's 33x10.5 R15, or going back to 16" wheels and 285/75's (If anyone have pics of this config would be great). New complete roof rack, and well, as I said this never ends. I'll be posting so you can see the progress and give me ideas.
