There are a few LR familiar shops in Raleigh, but the vehicle is in Sanford - about 30 minutes south of Raleigh.
The owner would have to be cool with taking it to the shop to get checked out...
IMHO, from the sellers perspective - for $3500 I would be more inclined to the "take it or leave it" approach as opposed to driving 1 hour round trip and wait 1-2 hours to get a PPI done.

Seems like a reasonable price but no mention of mileage. Classics had a chain driven Borg Warner tcase that were problematic once they have significant mileage. Most swap them out for the cheaper.stronger lt230 instead of buying the expensive parts to fix a tired BW box.

If it were in the neighborhood, I'd be on the phone.

There's already an extra LT230 in my garage looking for a home ;)

Too bad about the Disco seats though...maybe they still have the originals you can have re-covered???

I know this truck, my buddy used to own it. I'd never forget that bumper. It was okay. Seat switches didn't work like usual. There are some pictures of it on here off roading. I saw it roll through URE! after he sold it too, but I didn't see how it was treated on the trail.
