Hi everyone. After driving through Africa, we are selling our 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser GT, 4.2L turbo diesel, manual transmission with factory-installed front and rear locking differentials.
It is UK registered (right hand drive) with approximately 167,100 miles, and currently located in Cape Town, South Africa. Great vehicle for someone to continue driving through Africa, or ship elsewhere for other adventures!
The vehicle was professionally prepared in January 2012 by Footloose 4x4 for overland expeditions in Africa. The vehicle was driven for five months, carefully and with very few problems, through Europe and West Africa. The vehicle was then shipped from Tema, Ghana to Cape Town, South Africa.
New modifications/equipment installed in January 2012 include the following:
• OME suspension (springs and shocks)
• 5 BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires on steel rims, with less than 17,000 miles
• ARB awning and roof rack
• Load guard and built out rear storage area, with mounted inverter
• Hannibal storage cases
• US$1,000 in repair and recovery equipment, including Hi-Lift jack and accessories
• US$2,000 in spare parts, still in original boxes
• Two front-mounted Hella spot lights
• Miscellaneous equipment, including two LifeSaver water cans, two jerry cans, fire extinguisher, sand ladders, tie straps, safe bolted to frame
All supporting documentation and receipts available, including RAC carnet de passage, which is valid through January 2013. Additional photos available upon request. Asking US$23,000.
