96sr wheel question

Just bought a 96 and wheels were painted black and hate it. Which models besides sr wheels will work? Any years of sport fit? Would prefer 16" but on a budget.

Sport wheels will fit. So will some Isuzu wheels:

We've got a large center bore of 108mm/4.25" so it's kind of hard to find other OEM wheels that will fit.

This list seems to be wrong.
There are a handful of 108mm bore wheels that fit the Montero. All I can think for for sure if FJ Cruiser and I think , but I'm not positive certain Tundra wheels.
Otherwise im very confident all those 108s you see on that list are actually 106mm.
I really liked the factory wheels I had on my old Isuzu Rodeo and I wish they would fit the Montero.

And you would be incorrect, most Toyota factory 6 lug are 106mm.

Exactly. This is why I said most 108s on that list should actually be 106s and the list is wrong. The exception being the FJ cruiser which there have been several monteros run the stock 17 inch steelies that have 108mm hub holes.

The list says 98 trooper wheels are 108 and I can assure they are not so there are many mistakes on it. Going to look for a set of 16" sport wheels and see if they fit.

Do you know if the aluminum wheels fit our cars?

And that's why I asked (should have been more specific if he had any first hand experience)

Toyotas use 106mm hub bore, but he stated that the FJ steelies fit.

The alloys are the similar (if not the same) as the 4runners (which are 106mm)

I have FJ Cruiser steelies on m '92 (SR rear locker) They DO NOT FIT stock and will require modification to the center bore (I did) as they are 106mm stock.

Before you all get too carried away, it really depends on how they made the Toyota, and other wheels with a 6x5.5 lug pattern and large center bore. Some will fit but to be as sure as possible, you'll want to physically measure the center bore before you buy as not all came with 108mm.
