New Utility Trailer Build

Can someone give me advice on what the trailer axle width should be to accommodate a 35X12.50X17 tire? The wheel I want to run is 17X9 with 4.5" of backspace. The frame width of the trailer is 56"

Take the tires and rims off of the trailer and then set your Jeep rims/ tires next to the trailer at the desired width. Then measure the distance between wheel mounting surfaces and that is the size of the spacer you will need.

Thank you Mark,
It feels good to get a thumbs up from another member! Most people I know wonder why I even bothered rebuilding an old landscaping trailer. I must say I asked myself the same question a few times! I didn't' know how to weld before I started the project, and I didn't have much experience working with metal. I did learn a lot from this build! I pulled it to Colorado and back right after finishing it and had no issues so I guess my welding wasn't too bad!
