If I mount up 33x10.5 do I need to crank the t-bars? If so does anyone have a link to a thread on how to. I remember reading one once but cant remember if it was here or on the wire.

Probably 4x4 wire. Theres alot about the mitsu on there. I installed a 3"body lift and cranked up the t-bars on a customers 1st gen montero to clear the 33s. Im not to sure on the 2.5 but im sure at minimum you gotta crank the t-bars up.

The Gen II.5 has larger wheel wells than the previous generations. You should be able to fit 33's in stock form or with a very slight crank of the torsion bars, it all depends on how wide of tires you plan on going with. With a small body lift and a torsion bars crank, 35" tires will fit with out trimming.

Here is a link for more info on this subject.http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB69&Number=1248846&Searchpage=1&Main=1248842&Words=lift&topic=&Search=true#Post1248846

Following suit with LaOutbackTrail (95 SR), I had a local shop mount 33x12" ProComp ATs on the stock rims (97 SR = 7x15" wheels) and only moderately tightened the the t-bars... thus far, no problems with rubs.

Ride quality is good.

Engine performance is solid.

Extra traction is reassuring on the 'loose stuff.'

Have yet to experience how the ProComps do in the snow...

I have 32x11x15 on stock wheels on my 99 2.5. I didn't " need" to crank the bars, but I did because I didn't like the nose down look. I did remove running boards ans mud flaps though.
